		We want to invite you to share your unlimited trapping stories with us. Once we receive 25 stories, we will have a drawing and someone will win something Cool! Limit one entry per person for each drawing. Everyone will be able to also read your really cool story. Please attach photos showing us your great story! 		Story #8 Date 10-24-2006 Coming Soon.... by Charlie Rutherford, Glen Daniel, WV Story #7 Date 10-24-2006 I was out walking the timber and I saw some traps laid down. The traps were left there from last years trapping season. I saw a large raccoon sitting in one of the foot traps! However, the fence line was my Grandpas and he never gave anyone permission to trap on his land, except me of course! I found 3 snares and 2 foot traps and I ended up having one nice raccoon. Thanks Grandpa!! by Adam Sisler, Albia, IA Story #6 Date 10-23-2006 I caught a raccoon using a homemade bait. The raccoon looked to be about 3 years old. To be continued....... Note: The administrator of this site has asked Adam for more information on: his bait? how he can tell the age of the raccoon? by Adam Sisler, Albia, IA Story #5 Date 10-18-2006 I found an old Hollow tree and layed a trap near it. Then I placed sardines under it. The next morning I came back to find a opposum in the trap. That night, I layed the trap out again. The next morning I had about an 18 pound raccoon in my foot trap!! I love that spot! by Adam Sisler, Albia, IA Story #4 Date 10-18-2006 While trapping, I got tuna and placed it under my trap. Then, I got up and walked down to the creek to check out a different trap I had already placed. When I got there, I had a 30 pound coon in my foot trap!! I got to tan my fur. My Dad taught me. My Dad is a great trapper. Then I went to my other trap and I got a bobcat! I tanned his hide and made a pelt out of it!! by Dillion Sisler, Albia, IA Story #3 Date 10-18-2006 I went out last year and layed some traps. I found a raccoon foot in my trap, where the coon had chewed through its foot. I took the trap home and boiled it to lose the scent of the coon blood. The next day I layed the foot trap in a new location of the cornfield. I know I will trap a raccoon in that location. Check back and I will tell you what size coon I got in my next story!!! by Adam Sisler, Albia, IA NOTE: With the unique design of our padded raccoon foot trap. The raccoons will not chew through their feet because, the trap does not harm their paws. The trap is designed to just hold them their until you come free them!! Gotta Have It! Story #2 Date 10-17-2006 Trapping season is almost here!! I went out today to see where I can lay my traps. When I did, I saw a nice 12 point deer. I think it was 12 points because he was off in the distance! by Adam Sisler, Albia IA Story #1 Date 10-10-2006 Last year I set a trap with sardines under it in a creek. The next morning I had a 23 pound raccoon sitting in the foot trap ! The trap I used is called a coil spring trap. My Dad showed me how to tan the raccoon!! Now I know how to tan raccoons.
